Because COVID is an attention-seeking bastard, NAIDOC week was postponed back in July and is happening this week.
For all the non-Aussies out there, NAIDOC week is the celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It’s also a time to reflect that there is still ongoing struggle and disadvantage being experienced.
I’m donating the revenue from every digital download sale during NAIDOC week, which will go to @djirravic - an organisation which just turned 18 (probably off booking its drivers license test right) and which supports Aboriginal women, especially those affected by family violence.
So if you’ve been looking to stock up on new patterns, now is a great time! You know you’ve reached cross stitch god-tier when you have so many projects in the to-do pile, you’d need to live 3 lifetimes to get through them all.
RESULTS: We rounded up (because whole numbers make everyone happy) and managed to donate $300! Thanks everyone!
